Total English 1 is a write-in workbook for students in the first and second years of secondary school. This workbook contains 20 themed units. Students begin each unit by completing a spelling activity to practice words commonly associated (and misspelt) with the theme, followed by a grammar task to extend their understanding. Students are then presented with a comprehension activity, and different text-types are introduced throughout the workbook. The final section of the unit focuses on writing and gives students the opportunity to present their own ideas within a guided and scaffolded writing exercise.
