Genau! Senior, 2006 winner of the Best Secondary Single Title award in The Australian Awards for Excellence in Educational Publishing, is purpose-written for senior secondary students. The content (themes, topics and level) has been developed in accordance with the individual Study Designs and the Collaborative Curriculum and Assessment Framework for Languages (CCAFL). The Student Book contains suggested listening, speaking, reading and writing tasks that cover all prescribed text types. Each chapter also contains a suggested SAC for every learning outcome. Genau! Senior addresses relevant themes and topics in appropriate breadth and depth. The nine themes/chapters have been formulated as stand-alone units of study to allow for a number of entry points. Chapters 1-4 cater for Units 1 & 2. Chapter 5 is a transition chapter and chapters 6-9 cater for Units 3 & 4. A stand-alone Grammar Booklet comes packaged together with this text and is also sold separately. The Grammar Booklet covers all the grammar and structures of the Student Book and workbook, and helps students to extend their literacy knowledge and skills to accomplish the series outcomes. Student s can use the booklet as an easy reference in class and when completing activities in the workbook. It contains a review of senior grammar points and it also summarises key grammatical terms.
