Designed to help promote Māori as a living language, this dictionary includes 5,500 new words developed by the Māori language commission since 1987, and 3,000 previously unpublished Māori equivalents for English terms. It covers vocabulary from a wide range of areas, including health, science, mathematics, administration, education, and recreation.
