Sarah Wakeford has been a geography teacher for 11 years and has travelled extensively through many developing countries.  She has lived in Tanzania, where she taught environmental education in secondary schools, and has recently returned from Laos, where she taught English in a rural village.  As a member of the Auckland Geography Teachers Association, Sarah produced a CD Rom called 'Development in Tanzania'.  She is currently undertaking a Masters of Applied Humanities at AUT with a focus on tourism in developing countries.
