Pasifika is a voyage of inquiry learning for social studies students at Level 5 in the New Zealand Curriculum. This textbook contains a wide variety of resources for team processing and inquiry and reflects the authors own experience of living and teaching in Pasifika communities in the Pacific Islands and in New Zealand. Pasifika is divided into three parts: - Pasifika places and people sets the scene in the tropical islands of the Southwest Pacific. - Pasifika communities presents seven communities for research, each representing a different perspective. - New Zealand and Pasifika examines the position of Pasifika people living in New Zealand and explores the relationships and interactions between New Zealand and our Pacific Island neighbours.
